Doctors in Bhubaneswar AIIMS have accused their medical superintendent of deliberately hiding the son’s corona virus symptoms. Because of which three doctors have gone to live in solitude (home quarantine). Doctors fear that other people in the hospital may also be vulnerable. The 19-year-old son of the medical superintendent in Odisha is the second patient to be infected with Covid-19. Earlier, a research scholar was found Corona Positive who returned from a trip to Italy.
Government spokesman Subroto Bagchi said, ‘The medical superintendent’s son has returned from Britain. His condition is stable at the moment. Her family has been ordered to stay in seclusion inside the house. The letter purportedly written by the Residents Doctors Association (RDA) of AIIMS in Bhubaneswar alleges gross negligence on the part of the suspects of Covid-19 and the Medical Superintendent in charge of the isolation ward.
It has been written in the letter that it has come to our knowledge that a 19-year-old patient was brought to the isolation unit and kept in the doctors’ room, hiding the fact of traveling abroad. Also, the patient was not admitted for 12 hours. When information was asked about it, the isolation in-charge said that it was a high profile case. He filled the case sheet of the patient himself, hiding the matter of foreign travel.
The letter claimed that the patient was found corona positive on 19 March. It is found that the patient is the son of a medical superintendent. Terming the incident as medical and administrative negligence, the letter said that we were deceived by our own people. In the letter, a doctor has claimed that at this time where the whole world is being advised to come forward. On the other hand, this act done by the senior is shameful.
