The DRG is a team of security forces formed by local youths, which has been most effective against Naxalites. Naxalites also looted 15 weapons of the soldiers, including AK-47, INSAS, LMG and UBGL.

Actually, the incident of bloody clash between the police and the Naxalites came up at 2.30 pm on Saturday. The incident is in Chintagufa area of ​​Korajguda where the armed forces and the police started joint action against the Naxalites. In this operation, the Police Distric Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force and COBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) battalion took the front together. The joint team was informed about the hiding of Naxalites near Almagunda. On the basis of this intelligence, the joint team from its Chintagufa, Burkapal and Timelwada camps started major action against the Naxalites.

Naxalites attacked the team immediately as a joint team of armed forces and police arrived in the Korajguda hills near Elmagunda. Almagunda is located 450 km from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The joint team official said that on the basis of ground input, there is a possibility that at least 5 Naxalites have been killed and an equal number of injured. The armed force also gave a befitting reply to the Naxalites and forced them to retreat. Initially, 13 jawans could not be contacted, who were involved in this action.
