Who will be the CM of MP? Shivraj Singh Chauhan front runner but not the only option

In the midst of the country’s war against Corona, the Bharatiya Janata Party has defeated the Congress in a political war in Madhya Pradesh. The Kamal Nath government has been out of power, but so far the BJP has neither been able to form the government nor have elected the leader of the legislative party. These situations are when the whole country is battling deadly corona virus and Madhya Pradesh is running without government.

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is waiting. The green signal of the party’s top leadership has not yet been received in the name of Shivraj Singh, considered the most powerful contender. Meanwhile, speculations are also being made that Shivraj Singh Chauhan is not the only option in the BJP for the next Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Why suspense in the name of Shivraj Singh?

Shivraj Singh Chauhan is considered the most popular face in the politics of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, they also dominate the BJP and RSS cadres. He has the reputation of ‘maternal uncle’ among the people of the state. That is, his face is considered fit for a Chief Minister.

On the other hand, 22 rebel Congress MLAs who played an important role in bringing down the Congress government have also joined BJP. All these MLAs have resigned, so their seats are going to be by-elections. Two seats are already vacant. In such a situation, these by-elections are going to be very important for the BJP. The BJP Congress government has fallen, but it must win the by-election to run for power.

Apart from the victory in the election, how will the MLAs who have come from the Congress to the BJP’s seats be fit on the seats is also a challenge. Because in all these seats, the BJP will have to convince its leaders too. Along with this, balancing in the cabinet will also be a big task.

Keeping in mind all the intricacies and challenges, it is believed that the BJP high command may not field any new faces and the final seal should be put in the name of Shivraj. This is also because Shivraj has been CM for 13 years before Kamal Nath and his relationship with ministers and MLAs is also good. In such a situation, they can get success in balancing the power.

However, some factors among them may go against Shivraj Singh. The biggest thing is that in December 2018, in the MP in the name of Shivraj Singh, the BJP could not form a government, in the same state when elections were held in May 2019 in the name of Narendra Modi, the BJP got a strong majority. After this, the entire script to oust the Kamal Nath government was also written with the leaders of Delhi. That is, the housing mission of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was the center of the MP government.

BJP sources also say that PM Narendra Modi has always placed Narendra Singh Tomar on priority in front of Shivraj Singh.

Apart from this, there is also a fact that if Shivraj Singh is made the Chief Minister again, this will be his fourth term. In this way, Shivraj Singh Chauhan will also surpass Narendra Modi’s CM record.

Why is not Shivraj?

The question is also that if the BJP high command does not stamp the name of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, then who will be given the command of Madhya Pradesh. Narendra Singh Tomar’s name is being considered at the top of this list. During Operation Kamal Nath, all strategies were also made at the residence of Narendra Singh Tomar in Delhi.

Apart from being a favorite of PM Modi, Narendra Singh’s political and government experience has also been very impressive. Tomar has been made a minister at the center in both the tenures of the Modi government. Prior to this, he has also been a minister in Madhya Pradesh government. Along with this, MP has also been the President of BJP. That means Narendra Singh Tomar’s experience from government to organization.

By-election biggest factor for Tomar

The MLAs who have come to the BJP’s court after rebelling from the Congress, they mostly come from the Gwalior-Chambal region. Jyotiraditya Scindia, a senior leader who left the Congress and joined the BJP, also comes from this region. The important thing is that Tomar himself also comes from this region. In such a situation, Tomar’s role in the by-election will be very important.

Apart from Narendra Singh Tomar, the name of former minister Narottam Mishra is also in the discussion. Although Mishra is not considered a mass leader, he is recognized as a trouble shooter in the BJP. Apart from this, it is also news that Narottam Mishra is spending time with such MLAs who do not fully agree on the name of MLA Shivraj Singh.
