The tweet on Twitter account of Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan states that the retail price of a 200 mm bottle of hand sanitizer will not exceed Rs 100. In this case, the price of bottles of other sizes will also remain in the same proportion. These prices fixed by the government will continue to be applicable across the country till June 30, 2020.



Mask prices also fixed

The second tweet by Ram Vilas Paswan said that under the Essential Commodities Act, the fabric used in 2 and 3 ply masks would remain the same as it was on 12 February 2020. The retail price of 2 ply masks will not be more than Rs 8 per mask and 3 ply masks will not exceed Rs 10 per mask.
The tweet further states that since the outbreak of the corona virus # COVID19, the market has seen a huge rise in the prices of various face masks, materials used in its manufacture and hand sanitizer. Taking this seriously, the government has fixed their prices.
